May the Prince of Peace bring us peace, may useless activity and chaos cease, as hearts and minds overflow with God’s grace, and we share that peace in every place. This excerpt is from Monday of week one from Peaceful Moments of Love and Light, a new 52-week daily devotional by Connie Arnold, which has recently been released by RPJ and Company in paperback and hardcover, both in full color.
This is a lovely addition to her other RPJ books, ...Read Full Post »

A song of life bursts forth each spring
As new life starts to arise,
And the dance begins to rouse everything
With hibernating, still sleepy eyes.
This is an excerpt of “Song of Sprin...Read Full Post »

Message in a Shell
This lovely curved shell in my hand is called a whelk. A wide cone top tapers down to a slender tail. From the top I see a dot that widens in a circle - ever enlarging, extending outward. Each layer of the rings becomes wider until abruptly, in perfect artistry, the shell itself ends. My finger glides down the smooth under belly of the shell, which glistens softly where once the life existed. The outer surfaces are ridged and ...Read Full Post »

What Will You Do?
What will you do with this special day,
This year with a brand new start?
Did you gain any knowledge along the way
In the past year that you can impart?
Did you learn anything from errors you made
To share with others to help them learn?
Did you know as the old year...Read Full Post »

I have been abandoned and abused, but I am not alone.
I have sinned, but I am not condemned.
I have repeatedly failed, but, praise the Lord, I am not defeated.
I have been broken, but only to fulfill God’s purpose in me.
I can forgive because I have been forgiven.
I can smile because I have hope.
I can sing because I have fait...Read Full Post »

A miracle is waiting, hidden and concealed,
Waiting for the time when it can be revealed.
Filled with hope and promise of what it soon will be,
Unseen, not heard or felt, as yet a mystery.
It's hidden in a seed, buried in the ground,
Awaiting the time when it's potential will be found.
It's also in a bulb that will one day be a flower,
And the water that will nourish it in a spri...Read Full Post »

It is Morning in My Heart
I wake up in the morning
and my heart is beating fast.
I feel the presence of the Lord
and I know I'm His at last.
His joy fills my heart
as the sunlight fills my room
I remember what He did for me
when He rose up from the tomb.
He's in control of all my life
He has been there from the start
And whatever this day holds

A Glimpse of God's Grace
To catch a glimpse of God's grace
We need only to look around,
At any time or in any place
Evidence of God's grace may be found,
Just look at the world around you
And you will see this is true.
The rosy beauty of sunrise
At the start of a fresh new day
As sunlight reaches wakening eyes,
Chasing the darkness away,
Then we can slowly grow conscious of
God's grace a...Read Full Post »

God’s Gift of Love
God sent us His gift of love
Wrapped up in a baby small
He came to give His life for us
And save us one and all.
And Jesus walked among us
To show us how to live
But no one seemed to understand
How much He had togive.
And then He died uponthe cross
To pay the price for sin.
He rose again and now He lives
He comes to live within.
His Holy Spirit fills us
And...Read Full Post »
